Located in the Historic district of Bishop Hill, Illinois, Outsider Gallery brings to you a new and extraordinary store. Filled with whimsical, elegant, and functional items from regional artisans Steve and Marsha Carleson, the store also features objects made by their friends and items found around the world. Marsha makes handmade paper, cards for writing, 3 dimensional paper pieces, bowls, and vases. When she is not making production pieces there is time for bottle cap tables and other objects of whimsy. Steve makes  glass ornaments, do-dads, beads, and fused glass pieces with the occasional traditional Swedish tinea boxes combined into the mixture. Their daughter Nora makes drawings on cards, earrings, necklaces, and flys for fishing.  Around Christmas time you may find her making soap.
Outsider Gallery "also holds items" of glass, wood, metal, and Day of the Dead objects. All these being produced by 15 other artisans. Sometimes you will find items Marsh and Steve just like and will acquire. You may find insects mounted, kites on the wall and maybe a pretty rock from South Dakota. So whenever you are in Bishop Hill ,

Dew Drop Inn.
